The woman pictured to the right has a profession that makes it important that the hair be kept neatly up off the collar. As you can see the natural hair line extends almost to her shoulders. The short hair on the nape of her neck was very hard to keep up. The client chose electrolysis to get rid of the hair permanently. The nape of the neck is not sensitive to hormonal changes, and once the electrolysis treatment program is complete, the maintenance on this area is less than 60 minutes per year.

It is not uncommon for women who go through menopause to grow unusually long hair on the side of the face. This is usually caused be the lack of natural estrogen in the body. In a case like this only the long darker hair needed to be removed. Because her body is in a slightly unbalanced state, naturally, her body may continue to produce a small amount hair each month. Usually no more than 15 minutes every 2-3 months keeps this natural growth in check.
